Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Restaurant Hopes to Build New Location in Pace, Florida

Plans are underway for a new Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Restaurant to be constructed in Pace, Florida on US-90. The exact address for the planned Popeyes is 4541 Hwy 90, next to Advance Auto Parts. Santa Rosa County officials recently reviewed the plan with a representative from the real estate company that works with Popeyes, Verdad Real Estate, and the owner of the vacant lot, Real Estate Investments, Inc.
The corporation pursuing this Popeyes franchise location is Sailormen, Inc. The executives of Sailormen, Inc are Robert S. Berg (President), Steven M. Wemple (Vice President), Kara Nordstrom (CEO), Jonathan Marmolejos (CFO), and Mark Reineri (COO). Sailormen, Inc. owns numerous Popeyes restaurants in Florida.
Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, Popeyes was founded in 1972 in Arabi, Louisiana (then known as Chicken on the Run) by restaurateur Al Copeland. Since 2008 the chain has been doing business as Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. As of 2018 there were roughly 2,700 Popeyes locations.
