New Panda Express Restaurant Location Planned For Lee County, Florida

Panda Express, the fast casual restaurant chain specializing in American-Chinese cuisine, is coming to the San Carlos Park / Miromar Lakes area of Lee County, Florida. Panda Express will be located at 16421 Corporate Commerce Way, near the intersection of Alico Road and Ben Hill Griffin Parkway. The location places it in between Twin Peaks sports bar and Pei Wei.

This portion of Alico Road is across from Gulf Coast Town Center.

Panda Express is leasing the property from CS Holdings-Alico LLC., of Davie, Florida. The project site plan shows the intention of constructing a 2,200 square-foot free-standing building to use for the future Panda Express.

Panda Express was founded by Master Chef Ming Tsai Cherng, his son Andrew Cherng and Andrew's wife Peggy. Andrew and his father opened Panda Inn, predecessor to Panda Express, in Pasadena, California in 1973. The first Panda Express opened in Pasadena, California in 1983. There are more than 1,900 locations worldwide.
