Family Dollar Plans to Open Second Store in Deltona, Florida

Family Dollar is planning to open a second store in Deltona, Florida, on a 1.73-acre vacant land lot Family Dollar purchased back in 2003 for $340,000, according to real eastate records.

The official address will be 65 Courtland Blvd Deltona, FL 32738
Family Dollar recently applied to the St. Johns River Water Management District for the necessary environmental permit.

Deltona's only current Family Dollar store is located at 2120 Saxon Blvd.

Family Dollar was founded by Leon Levine in 1959 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Levine retired in 2003 and his son Howard took over as Chairman and CEO. The year Leon Levine retired, Family Dollar had opened its 5,000th store. There are currently over over 8,000 Family Dollar stores in the U.S. His first wife Barbara Leven died of cancer at the age of 27. He married his current wife Sandra Poliakoff in 1978. The couple have homes in Charlotte, North Carolina and Boca Raton, Florida.
