Shake Shack Coming to Sarasota, Florida

Shake Shack, an international fast casual restaurant chain based in New York City, is planning to open a location at University Town Center Mall in Sarasota, Florida.

University Town Center Mall is located off of University Parkway at I-75. This Shake Shack restaurant is being constructed by RCC Associates of Deerfield Beach, Florida.

Shake Shack has nine locations in Florida but this will be the first Shake Shack on Florida's west coast. There are three locations in Orlando and one in nearby Winter Park. The remaining five are located in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area. The Shake Shack menu includes chicken burgers, fries, and hot dogs but the as its name implies, Shake Shack focuses on crafting tasty shakes.

Founded by restaurateur Danny Meyer (currently the CEO), Shake Shack began as a hot dog cart in New York City in 2004, There are close to 200 locations worldwide.
