New KFC Under Construction in Tamarac, Florida

Posted: May 4, 2019 by Steve
The nation's second largest largest restaurant chain, KFC, is bringing a new location to the Fort Lauderale, Florida area. Tamarac, Florida will now have their own KFC, located along N University Drive at 7556 NW 58th Street.
This location was previously a drive-through convenience store that had been in business since 1979. The 556 square-foot building has been demolished to make way for the new KFC. Global Construction Strategies based in Bradenton, Florida handled the demolition and is now working on the construction phase of the KFC.

Adjacent to the project is The Shopes at Univeristy anchored by Planet Fitness, also home to Metro Diner and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt.

The most recent revenue information I could find for KFC reports a 2% sales growth in Q2 2018, which exceded the 1.9 percent that was predicted: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/02/yum-brands-reports-second-quarter-2018-earnings.html.

KFC was founded by Harland Sanders in North Corbin, Kentucky in 1930. KFC ranks at #2 with, McDonald's holding the top spot at #1 for the largest restaurant chain in the world.
