Florida's Biggest Ice Ceam Shop Chains

Here in Florida, the ice cream scene is largely dominated by the international chains, Baskin-Robbins and Dairy Queen. Recently Baskin-Robbins has opened co-branded locations with Dunkin' Donuts. As of 2019, there are over 100 of these two-in-one shops in the state.

Dairy Queen has also evolved in recent years with their new Grill & Chill restaurants. DQ Grill and Chill restaurants are a larger version of the DQ seated restaurants, serving up both cool treats and warm meals. As of 2019, there are roughly 150 Dairy Queen locations in Florida, with dozens of these locations operating as DQ Grill and Chill restaurants.

Have an extra few minutes to spare? The history of ice cream may surprise you:
The best-selling ice cream flavor is vanilla, but a Turkey Hill Dairy poll in 2017 surprisingly showed that mint chocolate chip flavor was the the most preferred, followed by chocolate peanut butter cup.
